Who We Are
We arrived in Croatia in January of 1994 with two children (Kara and Morgan) and another long-term couple. Since then, we have grown both family-wise and team-wise. Our third daughter, Alexandra, was born in 1994 and our son, Luke, was born in 1996 in Zagreb. Our family has adjusted to living in a different culture and in fact, we call Croatia “home” now, although our oldest daughter, Kara, now attends a US college. All four children have attended national schools and speak Croatian fluently. Our team also has grown to 12 long-term American staff, 5 short-term American workers, 26 long-term Croatian staff and 31 kids! There are four major areas of responsibility in our role as the Country Director. They are: Campus (students), Community (athletes, families, young professionals), Coverage (giving everyone an opportunity to say “yes” to the Gospel) and Care (development, training, well-being of our staff). In particular, we work directly with students as the director of the Campus Ministry team at the University of Zagreb. In all these activities and responsibilities we desire that many Croatians will respond to the message of Jesus and develop into men and women who will faithfully serve Him throughout their life-time here in Croatia. Campus Crusade for Christ International is an interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. We cooperate with millions of Christians from churches of many denominations and hundreds of other Christian organizations around the world to help Christians grow in their faith and share the Gospel message with their fellow countrymen.
Working together with these fellow believers, our goal for this decade is to help give every man, woman, and child in the entire world an opportunity to find new life in Jesus Christ. Our commitment is based on our Lord's command: "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 (NAS)
